Jake’s Loft is an independently-owned Life is good® Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe. We opened our doors on August 22, 2007 in Southlake Texas. We offer the entire Life is good® product line under one roof. Almost anything you could purchase from Life is good online can be touched, tried on, and purchased in our store.

So many customers and friends have asked us where we got the inspiration to open Jake’s Loft. Well, it’s a combination of an insatiable itch, our business backgrounds and the idea that the Dallas Fort Worth area needed a place where they could feel, wear and spread optimism…a place where optimism will always be fashionable!

Dyane (my wife) and I have always had an entrepreneurial desire that we could never quite satisfy. Dyane has it in her blood…all the way back to her grandmother, Mama Clara, who was a successful business woman. We have also been surrounded by people in our lives that have cheered hard for us…telling us that we are limited only by our imaginations.

Coming from the accounting and business world, we knew that we possessed the business intelligence and work ethic to be successful in whatever venture we jumped into. When you take self-confidence, business skills, and encouragement from friends and family and add in Jake and his infectious optimism…well, you get Jake’s Loft!

For years we have purchased Life is good® products for our friends and family as gifts for the holidays. We would always look online for a local store that sold the products we love to share. One day Dyane came to me and said, “Wouldn’t it be cool to own a store that was filled with Life is good®?” That one question launched us on an amazing journey that has allowed us to provide our customers with an oasis of optimism, simplicity and exceptional customer service.

We are surrounded by negative messages in the news, the mainstream media, advertisers and other talking heads. It’s easy to take it all in and accept it as fact when that’s all you hear. We choose to think that there are reasons to be excited about life (remember how it felt to look into your spouse’s eyes and promise her that “I do!”, remember the first time you held your child in your arms?). Life is good…it’s not perfect, but it is filled with magical moments that keep the human spirit warm and glowing. It’s this message that we strive to share with our community and our customers. Don’t listen to the negativity…choose your own reality and Spread Good Vibes!
